GOALS! (with rewards)

I make such awesome food (takes a bow) but I eat too much of it. I eat super healthy but you can have too much of a good thing and that’s whats holding me back. I love to cook and bake and they are all incredibly healthy and incredibly tasty an awesome and terrible thing. So, I’ve decided to make a list of two goals for myself, with rewards of course, so once I hit my goal I receive my gift!! Small changes over time equals habit! THAT’S what I need.

GOALS: weight loss

Lose 5 pounds by two weeks from now= new sports bra

Get to 145lbs by June 11th= new bottoms

HABITS:

NO carbs after 7pm

Measure before consumption

I’ll keep you in the loop on how I’m doing :)

I made a goal for the week and I’m determined to hit it! It started yesterday and I have until Friday night so it is really only 6 days not 7 but I know I can still get it :)
This quote is ME right now. I started something huge and I’m determined to finish it out strong- I’m my biggest obstacle and I know that so I have push even harder to push myself beyond any level I’ve been able to achieve to reach my goals.

Anonymous asked: Are you going to "The Beatles: The Lost Concert" movie premier in a few weeks?

No, definitely not.

It’s 9:14 am and I’m already exhausted. My eyes are pissed that they are open again. I’ll be leaving her shortly for my first two trainings this morning. Personal Training makes me feel so worthy and motivated. I need both of those feelings to rush through me for this week is a crazy one for this soon to be college grad.
My plan for today, for my workout, is after I’m finished teaching my circuit training class I’ll do arms :) Depending upon how pumped I am I may post a picture to keep you in the loop on my progress. No pump….no picture :)
As always ask me anything!

I’m exhausted and would really appreciate this semester to end asap. 2 and 1/2 more days of classes and I’m doneski. This week is going to be a long one though, just need to push through! I got a great leg/back workout in yesterday and I don’t see myself doing anything tonight after classes because I’m sure I’ll be whipped out by the time I get home around 8. So, I’m praying I can fit it in Wed, Thurs, and Friday! Otherwise I might go insane.

For those of you also graduating from college after this semester- stay motivated and push through until the end. You’re almost there- finish line is in sight!!

This is my current motivation. Every time I feel like I’m about to make a bad decision I think of how I’ll feel afterwards or the next day and I makes me realize what is more important….my happiness and self satisfaction.

uh-oh

I’m a senior in college and on the home stretch but can barely see the finish line. Study isn’t helping it’s just driving me more insane and restless. I want it to all be over so I can really start my life. This week the gym will be hard to get into because I know my spare time should be spent doing work and absorbing as much information as I can before finals.

Send motivation my way fellow fit-bloggers….I’m gonna need it :)

Stupidity vs. Intelligence

Low Carb Stupidity
Carbohydrates make you fat, protein makes you lose weight - We all know who started this one! People have somehow gotten it into their heads that weight gain is all about the carb grams, not the calories. People who quote this myth won’t touch a potato (100 calories, 0g fat), but then proceed to eat a 16oz steak for dinner (915 calories, 57g fat). They’ll refuse the hamburger bun (120 calories, 2g fat) but take an extra meat patty to make up for it (500 calories, 32g fat)

Low Carb Intelligence

  1. Realizing that if you eat more than you burn you will get fat, regardless of the source.
  2. Realizing that if you eat less and you will lose weight.
  3. Knowing that some people on low-carb diets do lose weight initially, but this is due to primarily to the fact that they have cut overall calories or have lost an abundance of water and lean muscle.
  4. Understanding that overdosing on protein and cutting out carbohydrates does not equal successful weight loss. It does, however, mean missing out on vital nutrients from healthy carbohydrate foods which should be part of any well-balance diet. If you’re considering a low-carb diet, remember to count your calories and nutrients first. You should also consult your doctor or health professional before making this life-style change.

Low Carb Stupidity
Selecting your beer or liquor carefully to make sure you have the brand with the fewest grams of carbs.

Low Carb Intelligence

  1. Realizing that a few grams of carbs don’t make all that much of a difference and that most “lo carb” beers have the same caloric content as “lite” beers avoiding alcohol if you’re trying to lose body fat.
  2. Drinking only in moderation if you’re trying to lose weight and be healthy.

My diet was back on track this week which is awesome and I pushed myself through my demotivated mood today. I am thanking myself now that my shoulders are crying in awesome pain :)

Tomorrow it’s back to legs! I used to hate doing legs and now I looove it, probably because I’m seeing results :) ALways encouraging.

Tonight I’m make tilapia and roasted veggies with Journalism homework for dessert- delish.
